OCD Center Los Angeles

There are various conditions that have obsessive-compulsive qualities that are quite similar to OCD . These disorders are frequently described as Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders, and are treated primarily with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Likewise, certain anxiety disorders have features similar to OCD, and also respond well to Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Below are some of the Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders and anxiety disorders that we treat at the OCD Center of Los Angeles:

Research has found that the most effective treatments for OCD and these related conditions are specific types of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The primary CBT techniques used in treating Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum Disordersthese disorders are Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Imaginal Exposure, Interoceptive Exposure, Cognitive Restructuring, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Habit Reversal Training (HRT). For more information on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for the treatment of OCD and these related conditions, click here.

In addition to individual therapy, the OCD Center of Los Angeles also offers five low fee therapy/support groups for adults with OCD and these related conditions.
