Meet the OCD Center of Los Angeles Staff
The OCD Center of Los Angeles has four therapists on staff:
TOM CORBOY, MFT, is the director of the OCD Center of Los Angeles, which he founded in 1999. Tom is a psychotherapist licensed by the State of California. He received his master’s degree from the Department of Counseling Psychology at USC in 1993, where his graduate thesis was a study comparing various treatments of OCD. In addition to his work with individuals, he has been leading a weekly therapy/support group for individuals with OCD since 1997. STACEY KUHL WOCHNER, LCSW, received her Master’s Degree in Social Administration from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Her clinical focus is providing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adults with a wide range of disorders, including OCD, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Phobias, Hypochondria, and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). In addition to individual therapy, Stacey currently leads two weekly groups for adults with OCD and related anxiety conditions. MARIA CERVANTES, LCSW, received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Smith College in Northhampton, MA. Maria is a bilingual/bicultural Spanish-speaking therapist, and has a special focus on treating children, adolescents and adults with OCD and related anxiety disorders. In addition to individual therapy, Maria currently leads three weekly groups for adults, and four groups exclusively for children and adolescents with OCD and related anxiety conditions. JON HERSHFIELD, MA, received his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles, where his studies focused on the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Since 2005, Jon has been the moderator of the online support group “Pure_O_OCD”, an internet discussion board specifically devoted to promoting a better understanding of Pure Obsessional OCD and its treatment with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. The OCD Center of Los Angeles is open six days a week, including evenings and Saturdays. Individual and group therapy sessions with our staff therapists are scheduled by appointment only. We are unable to accommodate anyone who arrives at our offices without a previously scheduled appointment.
